FundedInk Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-17 · Effective date: to be set at release
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and the operator of FundedInk ("FundedInk", "we", "us") about the FundedInk Trading Journal desktop application, the account features that go with it, and our support services (together, the "Service"). FundedInk is an independent software product developed and operated from Utah, United States. "FundedInk" is a product and brand name, not the name of a registered company; where the law requires the seller's legal name and business address to be disclosed, we disclose them at checkout and on your receipt. The FundedInk application itself is licensed to you under the separate End User License Agreement (the "EULA"). If these Terms and the EULA conflict about the software, the EULA controls for the software and these Terms control for everything else.
Please read these Terms carefully. They include disclaimers of warranties, limitations of our liability, and a section on how disputes are resolved.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
You accept these Terms by ticking the agreement box when you first set up FundedInk, by purchasing a FundedInk license, or by continuing to use FundedInk after we have asked you to review a changed version. If you do not agree, do not use FundedInk. We keep a record of the version you accepted and when, inside your own FundedInk data folder.
2. What FundedInk is
FundedInk is a trading journal for people who trade futures, including with proprietary trading ("prop") firms. It lets you record trades by hand, import trade reports from supported platforms, keep notes and screenshots, see statistics and charts about your own trading, and create recap images and videos. FundedInk stores your journal on your own computer.
FundedInk is not a broker, exchange, prop firm, investment adviser, commodity trading advisor, or financial institution. It does not hold money, place orders, or give trading advice. See the Trading Risk Disclaimer, which is part of these Terms.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, to use FundedInk. FundedInk is not directed at children. By using FundedInk you confirm that you meet these requirements and that you are not barred from using it under the laws that apply to you.
4. Your account and sign-in
Reading and exporting a journal works without an account. The paid features of FundedInk (adding and editing trades, importing files, creating and exporting recaps) unlock when you sign in with the Google account that holds your license: the app checks that account's license over the internet when you sign in and from time to time afterwards, and keeps working offline for the periods described in the Licensing Policy. Signing in is also what restores your purchase on another computer, and it shows your name and picture in the app. There are no license keys, serial numbers or activation codes.
Sign-in uses Google through our authentication provider (Supabase). We never see or store your Google password. You are responsible for the security of your Google account and of the computer you use FundedInk on. Tell us at support@fundedink.com if you believe your account has been used without permission.
Each FundedInk account has a unique, permanent identifier assigned by the authentication provider. Your display name, email address and picture are profile details, not proof of who you are or what you are allowed to do.
5. Google Sign-In
When you choose to sign in with Google, Google and our authentication provider process the information described in the Privacy Policy. Google's own terms and privacy policy apply to your Google account. We do not control Google and are not responsible for it.
6. Purchase: one-time payment of $6.99
FundedInk is sold for a single payment of US $6.99. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, no automatic renewal and no hidden fee. Taxes may be added at checkout where the law requires it, and will be shown before you pay. Payments are handled by our payment provider, which is named at checkout and on your receipt; we do not receive or store your full card number. You can start the purchase on our website or from inside the desktop application; both open the same checkout in your browser and attach the license to the Google account you are signed in with.
Before you pay you will see: "FundedInk — $6.99 one-time purchase. No subscription. No recurring charges."
A purchase is complete when our payment provider confirms it to us. We then record a lifetime license (an "entitlement") for the FundedInk account that made the purchase. Reaching a payment-success page is not by itself a confirmation.
7. What "lifetime access" means
"Lifetime" means the lifetime of the FundedInk desktop product, not your lifetime. In plain terms:
- Your license never expires and never needs renewing. You will not be charged again for the same product.
- It covers the FundedInk desktop application for Windows and macOS and every update to it that we release, for as long as we offer FundedInk. One license covers both platforms.
- It is tied to your FundedInk account, so you can reinstall FundedInk and restore your license on a new computer by signing in.
What it does not include:
- A promise that we will release updates, add features, or provide support forever, or on any schedule.
- A promise that FundedInk will work with every future version of Windows or macOS, or with every third-party platform, forever. Third-party platforms change their systems on their own terms (see section 12).
- A promise of indefinite online services. If we stop offering FundedInk or its online services, we will tell you at least 6 months in advance where reasonably possible. The copy of FundedInk installed on your computer, and your local journal, keep working for as long as they run on your system, and you will not be charged anything further.
8. License, your computers, and no sharing
Your right to use the software comes from the EULA and the Licensing Policy, which are part of these Terms. In short:
- You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use FundedInk, with your own account, on up to three computers (Windows or macOS) that you personally own or control at the same time.
- Replacing a computer, reinstalling the operating system or FundedInk, travelling, or using a VPN never counts against you. A computer you stop using frees its slot after 30 days, or at once when you release it under Settings → License.
- The license is for one person: you. You may not sell, give away, lend or transfer your account or license, let anyone else use your sign-in, or share your license with family members, trading groups or business partners. Each person needs their own license.
- You may not resell or distribute license tokens, credentials or licensed copies, work around or tamper with license or security checks, or use FundedInk to build a competing product by copying its code or design.
Details, including how license checks work and what they record, are in the Licensing Policy and the Privacy Policy. Reading and exporting your journal always works, licensed or not.
9. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- The information you enter or import, and for keeping it accurate.
- Keeping your own backups of your journal. FundedInk makes daily copies in your data folder, but your computer, its storage and its backups are yours to manage.
- Complying with the terms of the trading platforms and prop firms whose data you import.
- Keeping your computer secure, including its operating system, user account and any software you install next to FundedInk.
10. Prohibited use
You agree not to:
- Use FundedInk for anything illegal, or to store content you have no right to store.
- Share your account or sign-in with anyone, let anyone else use your license, or sell, give away or transfer your account or license.
- Buy FundedInk with stolen or unauthorized payment details, create accounts under false identities, or use another account or identity to get around a suspension or closure.
- Interfere with FundedInk's license checks, security measures or online services, forge or alter license files, or probe or attack our infrastructure.
- Use automated means to access our online services other than through FundedInk itself.
- Misrepresent FundedInk output as broker statements or audited performance, or use it to deceive anyone, including prop firms or investors.
- Resell, sublicense or distribute FundedInk or any part of it.
11. Accuracy of trading data
FundedInk calculates statistics from the data you enter or import. It works only with what it is given. Imported reports can be incomplete, delayed or wrong; manual entries can contain mistakes; rounding and time-zone conventions can differ from your platform's. For anything that matters, check the figures against your trading platform's or broker's own records. FundedInk does not verify your results, and nothing in FundedInk is a certified or audited record of performance.
12. Third-party trading platforms and integrations
FundedInk can read exported files from, and in some cases receive data from, third-party platforms such as Tradovate and NinjaTrader. FundedInk is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any trading platform, prop firm or exchange unless we say so in writing. Their names and logos belong to their owners.
Integrations depend on the platforms' continued availability, formats and policies, which they may change or withdraw at any time. An integration that stops working is not a defect in FundedInk and does not give rise to a refund, except as described in the Refund Policy. We will never ask for your trading platform password. See the Third-Party Integrations notice for details.
13. Availability of the Service
FundedInk is a desktop application; the journal works offline. The online parts (sign-in, license checks, purchases) may be interrupted for maintenance, by our providers, or for reasons outside our control. We do not promise uninterrupted availability of the online parts. The last license check is honoured offline for the period described in the Licensing Policy.
The support chat on our website is offered as a convenience. It is not staffed around the clock, we do not promise any response time, and it may be unavailable. When no agent is online you can leave a message there and we reply in the chat when we are back; email to support@fundedink.com works as well. Support conversations are stored online as described in the Privacy Policy. We may close or restrict a conversation that is abusive, spam, or unrelated to FundedInk.
14. External services and interruptions
Sign-in, purchases and license checks rely on third-party providers (Google, Supabase and our payment provider). If a provider is unavailable, those features may be unavailable too. We will make reasonable efforts to keep them working or to offer an alternative, but we are not responsible for a provider's outages, changes or decisions.
15. No investment advice
Nothing in FundedInk is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument. FundedInk shows you statistics about your own past trading; it does not tell you what to trade. Decisions about trading are yours alone. If you want advice, consult a licensed professional.
16. Trading risk
Trading futures involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Past performance, including the performance shown in your own journal, is not a guarantee of future results. Using a journal does not make trading safer or more profitable. Please read the Trading Risk Disclaimer.
17. Intellectual property
FundedInk, including its code, design, name, logo, documentation and the output templates used for recaps, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark (including unregistered rights) and other laws. © 2026 FundedInk. All rights reserved. The FundedInk name and logo are used as trademarks; no trademark registration is claimed. These Terms and the EULA do not give you any ownership of FundedInk. Your journal data belongs to you. The recaps you create from your own data are yours to use; the FundedInk watermark may be switched off in the app if you prefer.
FundedInk includes open-source components under their own licenses, listed in the Open Source Notices.
18. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FundedInk and the Service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that FundedInk will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure or free of harmful components, or that its calculations are complete or accurate for your purposes.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded by law. See the EULA for the limited remedy that applies to the software.
19. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost trading opportunities, trading losses, lost data, or the cost of substitute software or services, arising out of or related to FundedInk or these Terms, however caused and under any theory of liability, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to FundedInk or these Terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for FundedInk (US $6.99) or US $25.
These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or to statutory consumer rights that cannot be limited.
20. Indemnification
If you use FundedInk in breach of these Terms, or to infringe someone else's rights, and a third party brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to reimburse our reasonable costs of dealing with that claim, to the extent permitted by the law that applies to you. This section does not apply to consumers where consumer law does not allow it.
21. Refunds and consumer rights
Our Refund Policy explains when we refund the purchase price, including for technical problems we cannot fix, duplicate charges and unauthorized transactions, and what happens to a refund request after an account has been restricted or closed. Nothing in these Terms limits the statutory rights you have as a consumer where you live, including, if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, your rights regarding digital content. Where the law gives you a right to withdraw from a purchase within a period, the checkout will tell you how that right applies to FundedInk and what you are asked to acknowledge.
22. Security review, restriction and termination
You may stop using FundedInk at any time by uninstalling it. Your journal stays in your data folder until you delete it.
We may place your account under security review, temporarily restrict it, or permanently close it only as set out in the Account Termination Policy, which is part of these Terms. In summary:
- An account's state is changed only by an authorized person, for a recorded reason, after looking at the evidence. Nothing is ever suspended or closed automatically, and never because of an IP address, a VPN, travel, a new computer or a reinstall. Automated checks can only flag a pattern for a person to look at.
- Permanent closure is reserved for verified serious violations: confirmed account sharing or resale, confirmed payment fraud or use of stolen payment details, deliberate tampering with license verification, distributing FundedInk, or using another identity to evade an earlier suspension or closure. Temporary restriction may be used while such a concern is verified, or while a payment is disputed.
- We tell you the state of your account and the reason category in the app and, where we can, by email; you can appeal from Settings → License or through the support contact; a person reviews every appeal; and any decision can be reversed.
- If your account is permanently closed for a verified intentional violation, we do not offer a voluntary refund of the purchase price, to the extent the law where you live permits. A temporary restriction is not a refund event. Nothing in this section limits your mandatory statutory rights or your right to dispute a charge with your payment provider.
- The locally installed application and your local journal are never deleted by us; reading and exporting your journal keep working.
Sections that by their nature should survive the end of this agreement (including 11, 15 to 20, 24 and 25) survive it.
23. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms when the product, the law or our business changes. If a change is material, FundedInk will show you the new version and ask you to accept it before you continue; otherwise the new version takes effect when we publish it with a new version date. Earlier versions you accepted remain on record in your data folder. If you do not agree to a change, stop using FundedInk; the Refund Policy explains whether a refund applies.
24. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer-protection law of the country or state where you live gives you additional protection, which you keep.
If you have a problem, contact us first at support@fundedink.com; most issues can be resolved informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of Utah, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, except that you may bring a claim in the courts of your own country of residence where the law gives you that right, and either of us may use small-claims court for claims that qualify.
25. General
These Terms, the EULA, the Licensing Policy, the Account Termination Policy, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, the Trading Risk Disclaimer and the Third-Party Integrations notice are the whole agreement between you and us about FundedInk. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer this agreement; we may transfer it to a successor that takes over FundedInk, and will tell you if we do. Notices to you may be given inside the app or by email to your sign-in address.
26. Contact
Contact for support, legal notices and privacy requests: support@fundedink.com, also shown in the application under Settings → Legal. Where the law requires the seller's legal name or postal address, they are disclosed at checkout and on your receipt.
